A 35-year-old male senior constable from Western Region has been charged with assault following an internal investigation.
The officer has been charged with one count each of unlawful assault and assault by kicking following an alleged incident in Delacombe on 3 April 2022. The officer was on duty.
The 35-year-old has been summonsed to appear before an undisclosed Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Victoria Police have been contacted for comment.
