Whittlesea police charge Nunawading man following crash

Whittlesea police arrested and charged a 32-year-old Nunawading man in Whittlesea this morning following an alleged car accident earlier this April.

It’s alleged a car had been erratically overtaking a number of other vehicles along Plenty Road on Sunday, April 8.

Another car travelling along the same road, swerved to avoid a collision with the vehicle and subsequently crashed into a culvert.

The 32 year-old driver then allegedly fled the scene.

He has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, driving in a manner dangerous, unsafe overtaking and leaving the scene of an accident without rendering assistance and has been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
