Tradie stabbed in Cheltenham

Moorabbin detectives today arrested and charged two men after a man was stabbed in Cheltenham on 13 July.

Police understand a man was working as a painter on Jellicoe Street when he was approached by two unknown men about 11am.

A verbal altercation occurred when it is alleged the man received a stab wound to his back.

A 29-year-old Frankston man and a 24-year-old Cheltenham will appear before the Frankston Magistrates’ Court later today.

The victim, a 57-year-old man has since been released from hospital.
