School holiday building blitz

MERNDA.

Drivers and public transport users are urged to plan ahead these school holidays with work on major transport projects across Victoria.

McDonalds Rd, Mernda will close this Sunday with construction works extending the South Morang railway line to Mernda.

McDonald’s Rd west-bound traffic (towards Epping) will be temporarily closed between Bush Boulevard and Ferres Boulevard from 9pm Friday, September 15 until 8am Saturday and between 9pm to 8am this Sunday.

A detour will operate via Plenty Road, Centenary Drive and Civic Drive.

The road closure will allow the installation of ‘super t beams’ for the railway extension.

Buses replace trains on the Hurstbridge line between Clifton Hill and Macleod from Friday, October 6 until Sunday, October 15 as work continues to duplicate the railway line.
