Police Air Wing nabs dangerous driver

Police have arrested a man after the Air Wing captured a vehicle travelling at speeds estimated to be about 200km/h.

Police have arrested a man after the Air Wing captured a vehicle travelling at speeds estimated to be about 200km/h.

The Victoria Police Air Wing was patrolling when it spotted a Toyota Kluger travelling at high speed on the West Gate Bridge.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle which sped off and continued to drive at excessive speeds, at one point reaching an estimated 200km/h on Sunshine Road in Tottenham.

The Air Wing continued to observe the vehicle which stopped at an address in Elmsie Street, Sunshine West.

The driver exited the vehicle and entered a house but was arrested a short time later.

A 39-year-old St Kilda man is expected to be charged with failing to stop at Police direction and conduct endangering serious injury.
