Man ‘tasered’ in Bundoora armed robbery today

Mill Park detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Bundoora earlier this morning, Thursday, July 12.

Investigators from Mill Park’s Serious Crime Taskforce have been told a man was driving a friend home shortly before 1am when they were followed by two other vehicles onto Gonella Crescent, Bundoora.

It’s understood a number of males approached the victim’s car and tried to drag him and his female passenger out.

A conducted energy device ‘taser’ was then used on the victim, who was also assaulted with a metal object.

The victim, a 25-year-old Mooroolbark man, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

His passenger, a 25-year-old Bundoora woman, was not injured.

It is believed the man’s car keys were taken during the incident.

No arrests have been made at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.
