Glenburn man bashes Diamond Creek teen

Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a 22-year-old Glenburn man following a serious assault on an 18-year-old Diamond Creek man in Healesville on Sunday morning.

Police were told the two groups of men were involved in an altercation, in a carpark at the intersection of River and Church Street, where a teen was seriously injured about 3:20am.

The unnamed Glenburn man was arrested today and charged with four offences, including intentionally causing serious injury, affray and related assaults.

He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 30 November.

The 18-year-old Diamond Creek boy remains in a critical condition.
