Eltham man arrested for drug possession

Eltham Police have arrested a man during a routine intercept for possessing and trafficking numerous illicit substances.

The 34-year-old Rosanna man was stopped at 4.30am on 8 February while driving on Main Road, Eltham.

He was found in possession of Methamphetamine, Heroin, Cannabis, GHB and a number of prescription drugs.

Following his arrested detectives from Mill Park Divisional Response Unit executed a search warrant on Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna.

During the search a substantial amount of cash was located and numerous items of property, believed to be stolen, were seized.

The items include high end bicycles, a telescope, tools, hunting equipment, home security systems, perfumes and batteries.

The 34 year-old male was charged with possess and traffic Methamphetamines, Cannabis, Heroin, GHB, Diazepam, Endone, Xanax, OxyContin, Seroquel, Suboxone, Viagra, Lyrica and Sildenafil.

He was also charged with possess proceeds of crime, possess controlled weapon and possess prohibited weapon.

He was remanded to face Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on February 9.
