It is alleged the stolen Subaru with four occupants onboard was travelling on the Eastern Freeway in North Balwyn when it struck a barrier at the Bulleen Road exit about 10:55pm on 2 September.

The crash caused the Eastern Freeway city-bound to be closed for several hours.

The 20-year-old female driver, and her three passengers, a 21-year-old Seaford man, an 18-year-old Springvale South man and a 19-year-old man from Noble Park, were all taken to hospital following the crash.
