Numurkah supermarket ram raided

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a ram raid burglary on a Melville Street, Nurmurkah supermarket yesterday morning.

Police allege a man drove a stolen green Toyota Hilux into the front doors of the business just after 3am.

The offender is seen getting out of the utility and enters the store. Using an angle grinder he opens a security cabinet containing cigarettes.

He then grabbed numerous cartons of cigarettes before leaving the store and driving away.

The utility, which had been stolen from an address in Hurley Court in Numurkah, was later located on Naring Hall Road around 9:30am.

The man is described as having a solid build, wearing a high-visibility top and a dark-coloured beanie and face mask.
