Missing Persons Squad detectives with assistance from the Search and Rescue Squad will return to Ballarat this week as part of the ongoing investigation into the suspicious disappearance of Kobie Parfitt.
Police will be searching a stretch of bushland along the Pittong-Snake Valley Road in Snake Valley.
Detectives have already searched a number of properties and spoke to a number of people in relation to the 43-year-old’s disappearance in April.
They have been able to confirm Kobie was last seen alive at a property on Hickman Street on 28 April.
Kobie’s body is yet to be located but police believe it is only a matter of time before they find her.
Detectives have followed up on a number of leads based on information they have received since the investigation commenced.
Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper of the Missing Persons Squad said police believe they are closing in on those responsible for Kobie’s death.
“We have returned to the area a number of times as part of this investigation and will continue to return each time we receive new information,” he said.
“There are definitely people in the Ballarat community who know what happened to Kobie.
“We know she was last seen alive at a property in Hickman Street on 28 April however we are still yet to locate her body.
“Again, we’re asking anyone with information regarding Kobie’s disappearance or who knows who is responsible for her death, to speak to police.”
