Investigators have been told the 37-year-old man was located by a passer-by lying at the rear of his silver BMW coupe, which was parked on the side of Soldiers Road, Bass about 6:40pm on 31 July.

The Coronet Bay man was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the man’s injuries may have been the result of a collision involving an unknown vehicle, possibly a 1990 to 2000 model BMW E36.

The colour of the vehicle is unknown but police believe the car may have sustained damage to the front driver’s side indicator.
