Detectives from Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit have arrested a man following an armed robbery in Cobden.

Police allege a man walked into a service station on Camperdown-Cobden Road about 8:14pm on Monday 23 November.

Once inside the premises the man threatened the attendants with a knife and demanded cash.

The attendants complied and the man then fled the store.

Excellent police work has led to detectives arresting a 28-year-old Bacchus Marsh man in relation to the incident earlier today.

He was charged with armed robbery and has been remanded to the Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on the 19 February 2021.
