BreastScreen Victoria’s mobile screening service to visit Alexandra

Did you know that if you are aged between 50 and 74 you should get a breast screen every two years?

BreastScreen Victoria’s Mobile Screening Service will be in Alexandra from 11 to 28 August providing a free breast screening service to help detect cancer early, before it can be felt.

The screening takes 10 minutes, you don’t need a doctor’s referral and the service is delivered by a female radiographer.

The Mobile Screening Service is located at the corner of Grant and Perkins Streets (opposite the Alexandra Library and Customer Service Centre).

A number of safety measures are in place to protect staff and clients, including spaced out appointments, precautionary questions on health and travel, face masks and thorough cleaning between appointments.

Appointments are essential. Visit or call 13 20 50.
